And this echoes our essential aspiration for every child that comes through our doors. We endeavour to provide a safe, secure, inclusive and nurturing environment in which all children in our care may develop to their full potential – spiritually, morally. We wish for our pupils to become respectful, empathetic, responsible and civic-minded and to become valuable members of society.

We strive to provide a happy, positive and caring environment in which the individual needs of each child are considered and attended to as far as possible.

In Presentation National School, we extend a warm welcome to children of all nationalities, faiths and ethnic identity, fostering in all pupils a spirit of inclusion and celebration of diversity.

We strive to maintain healthy and positive relations at all times with parents and guardians. We fully acknowledge the important role that they play in the education and development of the children in our care and we strive to work in partnership for the greater good of all concerned. Situated in the heart of the town of Millstreet, we also strive to foster positive relationships with members and groups in our local community and hope that our school is perceived to be a proactive and positive addition to the community.

We are most fortunate here in Presentation National School to have a highly motivated and conscientious staff: our teachers are highly motivated, well qualified and enthusiastic and at all times set very high standards for themselves and the pupils when delivering the Curriculum. Our Special Needs Assistants are highly skilled and invested in the care needs of pupils who require their attention and intervention.

We are very proud to have opened a Special Class for children with Autism known as “The Clara Room”, it provides a well equipped, stimulating and nurturing environment for children with ASD who also integrate into their mainstream class as appropriate. This is soon to develop into a 2 Class ASD Base and with this will come the provision of a modern, state of the art building, specifically designed to cater for the needs of children with ASD.
