Parents’ Association

The Parents’ Association is the structure through which parents collectively work together with the schools for the benefit of the children’s school experience. While a child attends primary school their parents are automatically members of the Parents’ Association.

Millstreet Primary Schools’ Parents’ Association represents the two primary schools in Millstreet namely Presentation National School and Scoil Mhuire Boys National School. We have a small committee team who runs the group on a day-to-day basis with other parents helping out at fundraising events or in whatever way they can, whenever they can.

We have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/millstreetpspa that is used to advertise events and update the community with relevant information. There is also a private Facebook group that is used to gather ideas, open discussions, and communicate solely with parents. Millstreet PSPA would encourage all parents to engage with the Parents’ Association because we exist to enhance the children’s school experience as well as the parents’ school experience.

Some of our most recent events include Halloween Spooktacular Afternoon, Church Gate Collection, Pancake Bake-Off, St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Easter Nature Hunt and A Millstreet Collection Vol 1 CD. The proceeds of our fundraising events are given to the schools on an annual basis which is then used to purchase sports and science equipment, update class library stocks, purchase desks and laptops for the children and improve the classroom environment.

If you are interested in joining the committee, where you will get to know other parents whilst creating fun events for your child and raising funds for the school, please get in touch. We would be delighted to meet new members and assist in making your school experience the best it can be. Our email address is millstreetparentsassoc@gmail.com.
